Pramod Gaudel, MD
Dr. Pramod Gaudel joined University Cancer & Blood Center in 2023 and is a board-certified oncologist and hematologist. His dedication to oncology comes from the profound impact it has on patients during one of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Originally from Nepal, Dr. Gaudel was recognized as one of the top 10 students in the nation to receive the Nepal Ministry of Education’s full scholarship award for medical school in 2005. His passion for helping others and fascination with human biology and health inspired him to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Gaudel earned his medical degree at Kathmandu University’s Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal. He completed his hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas where he was recognized as an outstanding fellow and was awarded the Dr. Laxmidas A. Sawkar Fellowship Award. He completed his oncologic hospitalist fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Gaudel’s internal medicine residency took place at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York.
He has been published in peer-reviewed journals, written research articles, and collaborated on numerous poster presentations. Contributing to advancements in cancer treatment through research and seeing patients improve their quality of life through a personalized approach is incredibly gratifying, he says.
Dr. Gaudel is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, among others.
He is married with one child, and Dr. Gaudel enjoys traveling, exercise, and spending time with his family.
